BIRTHDAY IN JAPANZ :P

As many of you probably know, I recently had my 17th birthday here. My host family had a little party thingy for me, and here are the pictures that resulted from said gathering...

Ok. So the people in this picture are as follows: The guy on the far left is Takeshi-kun, you may remember him as mochi guy from the last post. You probably don't, but whatever. He's a close family friend and member of the church, and he's really really cool. The boy who's covering his face with his arm is Kohei. I don't even WANT to begin to explain his story. I'll just say he's a boy who lived with us for a month or two.

Me blowing out the candles. And Kohei giggling. XD

KANPAI!!!

Me attempting to cut the cake. According to Okaasan, I'm doin' it wrong.

HAHAHA. I can't remember what was going on in this picture, but it's funny. XD

Look at that concentration.

Otoosan would NOT leave me alone, haha XD

A picture of the cake that Otoosan bought for me up close. :) It was fabulously delicious. XP

This is a cake that two girls from my school actually bought for me and delivered it personally to my house after school on my birthday. It was the cutest thing ever, and I was crazy happy. :)))

...Otoosan. Nuff said. XDDDDD

So yeah. That was my birthday in Japan. It was really cool, I was so happy that they didn't like, forget it or something. Because honestly, at first, I thought they had. XD

But no. They didn't. They had a little thing for me. And I was happy. :P

Until next post!

  1. So like, in that picture that you don't know what was going on, it seems to me that your grandma was choking on some cake and you were laughing at her... what a jerk. e__e

  3. Hey, I'm currently on an AFS exchange in Fukui and I stumbled upon your blog! I'm living in Tsuruga City with my host family until February ^^
There's only two students in Fukui this year ・n・ Me, in Tsuruga, and a girl from Hong Kong in Mikata. I'm sure you must have stayed with the very same host family that the girl from Hong Kong is staying with now, in Mikata -- just from looking at some of your posts. It's like a church or something, right?

Anyway, I just randomly stumbled upon your blog so I thought I should comment and say what a small world!
